They have a range of products including their hair straightener and the more recent addition is the Cloud 9 Curling Wand.

At $270 AUD I was expecting the perfect curling wand and although it is an okay curling wand I don’t think it lives up to its price tag.

The main problem I have with this curling wand is that it is way too big. Although it seems a better idea to have a bigger and longer curling wand the practicality of it is not great. When trying to use the wand I kept burning my forearms because the barrel just gets in the way. This especially occurs when doing the left side of my hair as I am having to reach over and it is just too difficult to manoeuver.

If you want to save yourself the heartache and the money then I would suggest a miss on the Cloud 9 Wand and keep them in mind if you want a good hair straightener.

The price is reasonable at about $70. The advantages of this set is that you have the option of using different sized barrels even though I found the conical one really slippery and a bit pointless so I think it only really has 2 barrels that are useable.

The disadvantages are that you have to be really careful changing the barrels and you have to turn it completely off and wait for it to cool down so it isn’t possible to use different size barrels when you are trying to create a hairstyle. The only other problem with this is that the more I change them around and the more I use it, the less hot the barrels would get and it didn’t ‘t seem to work as well and the curls dropped quicker. I looked online to see why this was happening and came across some other people saying that the interchangeable barrels means the electrical parts can get affected and might not work so well after time.

So if you think you need multiple barrels perhaps try this product otherwise I think most people stick to one barrel size when they figure out what size if best for the hair type and length and having multiple barrels isn’t really that necessary.

Although this 2-in-1 hair straightener is relatively easy to use the curls just did not last for long at all. It was probably only 40 minutes until the curls started to drop and within 2 hours my hair was completely flat again.

The other downside is that there was no glove to protect your hand when you use it as a curling wand.

I think the idea is brilliant but the quality just isn’t there.
